Job Requirements

Must be 21 years of age
Basic math skills
Able to balance a service tray
Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
Position requires 10% standing, 90% walking
Requires very frequent lifting, bending, pushing, twisting, kneeling, climbing, stooping and reaching overhead
Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues
Must be able to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 10 hours in length
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external customer contact

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior service experience in an upscale restaurant or lounge
Knowledge of wine service
Excellent customer service skills
Neat, clean appearance
Excellent and outgoing personality
Ability to be flexible with scheduling including nights, holidays and weekends
Knowledge of operating point of sale
Successful completion of alcohol management training
Certificate from bartender school or equivalent years of experience

Job Duties

Give prompt, pleasant, courteous and efficient service
Prepares all beverages utilizing standard portions, ingredients and garnish
Mixes drinks according to prescribed recipes
Keeps station stocked with all liquor, glasses and accessories necessary
Accounts for all beginning cash register bank, all cash, complimentary drinks and charge receipts
Operates a point of sale, ringing in proper amount into register and giving guest or server correct change
Maintains low beverage costs while assuring quality products
Possesses knowledge of all liquors, beverage recipes and required garnishes
Maintains a respectful and professional demeanor with guests
Follows alcohol management guidelines
Assists in all aspects of the operation when necessary
Performs all side work duties for assigned shift
Greets and welcomes all guests
Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable environment
Suggests and describes available wines and beverages
Acts as a role model and credit to Harrah’s
Adheres to all department and company policies
Performs all related duties as assigned
