The position of Bartender/Server at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa offers candidates the chance to be part of a dynamic and hardworking team dedicated to providing outstanding food and beverage service to resort guests. Bartenders/Servers at the resort are expected to maintain a guest-focused approach while performing their duties, ensuring each visitor feels welcomed and well-cared for throughout their stay. The role involves greeting guests, informing them about food and beverage specials, and answering any questions regarding menu items and resort amenities. Accuracy and efficiency in preparing and serving beverages, taking orders, and managing transactions through the point-of-sale system are essential to maintaining high service standards.

In addition, Bartender/Servers play a critical role in enhancing the dining experience by monitoring guest satisfaction and promptly addressing any concerns or requests. They are responsible for keeping the service and dining areas clean and stocked, as well as completing opening, closing, and side work assignments. This role requires thorough knowledge of all departmental policies, standards, and procedures to ensure seamless operations and consistent quality. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in bartending or serving preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience as a bartender or server preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food and beverage safety standards

Job Duties

  • Maintain a guest focus while performing duties
  • Welcome and greet guests
  • Complies with liquor pour standards as set by Food & Beverage Director
  • Inform guests of any food and beverage specials
  • Knowledgeable and able to answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant and resort functions and services
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in point-of-sale system
  • Prepare and serve beverages for guests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignments
  • Complete opening and closing side work
  • Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas
  • Monitor and observe guests dining experience
  • Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and beverage service
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system
  • Thank the guests for their visit and invite them to return
  • Notify the manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
  • Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards, and procedures of the department
