Job Description

The Hotel del Coronado is an iconic Victorian beach resort located on Coronado Island, just minutes from Downtown San Diego. Established in 1888, this historic 28-acre property boasts over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas, along with 65,000 square feet of banquet space. The resort offers an exceptional guest experience through its 10 diverse food and beverage outlets, which include four restaurants, two bars, a food truck, a marketplace, an ice cream shop, and in-room dining. After a comprehensive $400 million renovation and expansion, the Hotel del Coronado has been revitalized to blend its rich heritage with modern luxury, continuing its legacy as one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world. As a part of the Hilton portfolio, the hotel reflects the global leader's commitment to world-class hospitality and service standards.

The role of Bartender at the Hotel del Coronado is an essential part of delivering exceptional hospitality that brightens each guest’s stay. More than just preparing and serving drinks, this position involves creating memorable experiences by spreading warmth and genuine care through every interaction. As a bartender, you will be responsible for mixing, garnishing, and serving beverages with precision and according to established recipe standards to ensure guest satisfaction. In addition to crafting drinks, you will manage bar operations by stocking and organizing supplies, maintaining product quality, and ensuring regulatory compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.

This role demands outstanding guest service skills, including the ability to engage with guests positively and a proactive approach to enhancing their experience. You will handle payment processing accurately using the point-of-sale system and address guest concerns with professionalism, particularly in managing situations involving intoxicated guests to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The position underscores the Hilton core values of hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a sense of urgency in delivering high-quality service.

Working at the Hotel del Coronado offers a chance to be part of an award-winning workplace culture recognized repeatedly on the World’s Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work and Fortune. The culture fosters growth, leadership, and excellence supported by Hilton’s commitment to its team members’ careers, whether starting out or seeking advancement. This bartending opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality who desire to develop their career in a prestigious resort setting while embodying the warmth of Hilton's service philosophy. Join a team that creates magical stays by combining tradition and innovation in one of the most beautiful beachfront locations in the world.
