Job Description

Marriott International is the largest global hospitality company, renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation in the hotel industry. Established in 1927, Marriott has grown to represent 30 distinctive hotel brands across more than 6,000 properties in 122 countries. With a strong presence worldwide, Marriott continues to set the standard for quality customer service and guest satisfaction. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive culture that values diversity, encouraging associates from all backgrounds to contribute to its ongoing success. Marriott offers a range of career opportunities for both seasoned hospitality professionals and those beginning their careers, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment.

The Westin Denver Downtown, part of the Marriott International family, is currently seeking a part-time Bartender to join their dedicated food and beverage team. Located at 1672 Lawrence Street in Denver, Colorado, this venue offers a vibrant environment where guest experience and service quality are paramount. This non-management position is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to take on a role that goes beyond traditional bartending.

In this role, bartenders are responsible not only for mixing drinks but also for creating memorable and unique experiences for guests. They stay attuned to the latest trends, local offerings, and evolving guest needs to provide exceptional service. Bartenders at The Westin Denver Downtown act as hosts within their space, building relationships that enhance the overall guest experience. Their responsibilities extend beyond the bar to include taking ownership of guest service broadly, ensuring every interaction meets or exceeds expectations. Attention to detail is essential, from managing transactions accurately to delivering high-quality beverages.

The job demands a hands-on, active approach, requiring bartenders to be on their feet, moving around, and sometimes lifting objects up to 25 pounds. It calls for a commitment to safety, adherence to company policies, protection of assets, confidentiality, and maintaining a professional appearance. The role emphasizes the importance of teamwork across the hotel and with the larger community, all aligned with Marriott's mission to provide the best possible experience for guests.

This position pays $16.27 per hour and is tip eligible, offering a flexible schedule suitable for those seeking part-time employment. The Westin brand at Marriott is dedicated to wellbeing and aims to empower guests to be their best selves during their travels. This ethos extends to associates, who are encouraged to embrace their own wellness practices and contribute positively to the brand's culture.

By joining The Westin Denver Downtown team, bartenders become part of a supportive, global hospitality company that recognizes the value of every associate. Marriott International's commitment to equal opportunity and inclusive hiring practices ensures an equitable workplace where diversity is celebrated. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate, optimistic, active, and ready to join a brand that values wellbeing and high standards in guest service.
