Located on 256 lush, landscaped acres in historic Williamsburg, Virginia, the resort combines the charm of the past with the comfort and amenities of a modern vacation destination. The resort is part of Hilton Grand Vacations, an established leader in vacation ownership that prides itself on delivering memorable guest experiences through exceptional service and a welcoming environment.

As a seasonal operation running approximately from May 1 to September 30 each year, this position offers a dynamic work environment immersed in the hospitality industry. The resort’s team members are committed to ensuring that owners, members, and guests create wonderful vacation memories while also fostering their own career growth within Hilton Grand Vacations. The workplace culture embraces a family-oriented service approach, empowering team members to develop their hospitality skills and succeed in their roles.

The role of Bartender at the 845 Suite Historic Powhatan Resort is pivotal in enhancing the guest experience by expertly preparing and serving beverages and providing attentive customer service. This position demands a thorough knowledge of menu items, beverage brands, cocktail recipes, beer varieties, wines, sodas, waters, sugars, and other prepared beverages. The bartender is responsible for serving beverages in compliance with all state regulations pertaining to alcohol service and consumption.

Cash handling duties, including collecting payments for food and beverages, are also part of the role.

Preparation and upkeep of the bar area is essential to ensure smooth operation throughout service hours. This involves stocking supplies such as ice and fruit garnishes, and performing general cleaning tasks with standard cleaning procedures. The bartender plays an essential role in creating a pleasant dining and social atmosphere, ensuring that each interaction enhances the overall guest experience.

Candidates who join this resort will have the chance to work within one of Hilton Grand Vacations’ respected properties, gaining hands-on experience in an engaging environment amidst historic landmarks and vibrant landscaping.
