Diversity of thought and inclusion are core values that drive CulinArt’s success, making it an inviting workplace for individuals from varied backgrounds to start and grow their careers.
CulinArt is currently seeking a skilled and personable Bartender for a seasonal position at the West Hampton Hotel located at 231 Dune Road, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978. This role offers a fixed pay rate of $19.00 per hour and follows a seasonal schedule primarily including Fridays, Sundays through Tuesdays, with hours that may vary and further details provided during the interview process. The position requires candidates to have 2 to 3 years of bartending experience as well as proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems to ensure smooth and efficient service operations.
The Bartender at CulinArt will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner while adhering strictly to all applicable state, federal, and corporate liquor laws and regulations. This includes ensuring that alcoholic beverages are served responsibly and only to guests who meet legal drinking age requirements, as well as taking necessary actions in cases of guest intoxication. Beyond beverage preparation, the Bartender will manage inventory by setting up and stocking the bar area with beer, wine, spirits, glassware, ice, condiments, and other necessary supplies. Attention to detail is essential in the maintenance of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables.
Customer service skills are crucial as the Bartender will greet guests warmly, take and process orders, mix drinks following standard recipes, and practice prudent portion control. The role also requires financial accuracy when handling cash transactions, making change, and maintaining records. Security measures including locking and securing beverage products, cash, and equipment after shifts are standard procedure.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work area to meet health and safety standards is an ongoing responsibility, as is the attractive display of bottles and glassware in the bar area. CulinArt values team members who contribute to a positive guest experience through professionalism, efficiency, and enthusiasm.
Associates at CulinArt, including those in Bartender roles, enjoy comprehensive benefits that enhance both their professional and personal lives. These benefits include retirement plans, health and wellness programs, associate shopping programs, discount marketplaces, identity theft protection, pet insurance, and voluntary benefits such as accident and critical illness insurance. Full-time employees additionally receive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, and flexible spending accounts. Paid and unpaid time off is also available in accordance with applicable laws.
CulinArt is an equal opportunity employer committed to fair treatment of all applicants and associates. The company encourages applications from qualified candidates regardless of race, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other legally protected classification. Prospective employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the Bartender position, with or without reasonable accommodations. This role provides a rewarding opportunity for experienced bartenders looking to join a reputable organization known for its quality service and career growth potential.
