Marriott International is a leading global hospitality company renowned for its commitment to exceptional service, innovation, and guest experience. With a diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts worldwide, Marriott continues to set the standard in the hospitality industry by offering a wide range of accommodations that blend luxury and comfort with outstanding customer care. The Coronado Island Marriott Resort and Spa, located in the beautiful coastal city of Coronado, California, is one of Marriott's distinguished properties, known for providing guests with memorable stays through excellent amenities, scenic views, and top-tier service. This resort offers a vibrant work environment where employees are valued, supported, and empowered to grow professionally within the hospitality sector.

This Full-Time Bartender role at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort and Spa presents an exciting opportunity to join Marriott’s Food and Beverage team. Offering a competitive pay rate of $17.75 per hour plus tipping opportunities, this non-management position involves preparing and serving beverages to guests while upholding Marriott's high standards of hospitality. The Bartender is responsible for mixing drink orders according to set recipes and measurements, issuing and serving wine and champagne, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the bar area. Additionally, tasks include preparing fresh garnishes, stocking supplies such as ice and glassware, transporting items to bar setups, and managing soiled wares. The role also includes handling payment processes, closing cashier duties, securing alcohol and storage areas, and completing end-of-shift procedures.

Beyond the technical aspects of bartending, this position emphasizes guest service and teamwork. The successful candidate is expected to welcome guests warmly, anticipate and address their needs with professionalism, and foster positive relationships with colleagues to achieve common goals. Marriott’s commitment to safety, security, and maintaining company standards is integral to the position, with adherence to policies and reporting of any unsafe conditions required. Physical duties such as standing or walking for extended periods, handling objects up to 50 pounds, and navigating various work environments are part of the daily expectations. The role encourages a clean and professional appearance and the confidentiality of company information.

Marriott International is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and fosters equal opportunities for all employees. The company values the unique backgrounds and talents of its workforce and does not discriminate on any protected basis. Joining Marriott means becoming part of a global team dedicated to delivering "Wonderful Hospitality. Always."
