Job Description

Overlake Golf & Country Club (OGCC) is a prestigious family-oriented country club located in the serene neighborhood of Medina, Washington. Established in 1927, OGCC has grown and evolved over nearly a century to become one of the premier family clubs of the Pacific Northwest. The club prides itself on its rich history, exceptional hospitality, and a welcoming environment where members can gather to enjoy a variety of recreational activities and social events. OGCC's offerings include exquisite dining experiences, golf, tennis, aquatics, and numerous social activities designed to foster community and connection among its members, whether with family, friends, or business associates. The club equally values environmental stewardship and is committed to providing a sustainable and enriching environment for both its members and staff.

Currently, Overlake Golf & Country Club is seeking skilled and enthusiastic Bartenders with a minimum of two years' experience to join their dedicated team. This is a seasonal position focused on delivering outstanding beverage service across their summer café, banquet facilities, and fine dining restaurant. Importantly, OGCC operates as a non-tipping facility, underscoring its commitment to fair and equitable compensation for its employees. The role of Bartender at OGCC is more than just preparing drinks; it embodies providing world-class guest service that enhances the overall member and guest experience.

Bartenders at OGCC will be expected to prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following the club’s high standards. They will work closely with fellow team members in the restaurant and banquet departments to ensure seamless service during everyday operations as well as special events. The responsibilities also extend to managing beverage carts on the golf course, maintaining cleanliness and organization at the bar and workstations, and ensuring all health, safety, and liquor laws are strictly adhered to.

OGCC values a customer-forward mentality where team members go above and beyond to engage members in a professional and courteous manner. The environment is fast-paced but rewarding, suitable for candidates who excel under pressure and can operate independently when necessary. The club fosters a culture centered around five core values: evolving, welcoming, enriching, healthy, and fun. Employees benefit from mentorship opportunities, discounted meals, merchandise discounts, wellness programs, and a comprehensive health and appreciation framework.

This position provides a unique opportunity to work in a setting that combines natural beauty with a strong community spirit and professional excellence. It offers a chance to grow in the hospitality industry alongside a fantastic team, in a work environment that values personal development, industry best practices, and a holistic approach to employee well-being and member satisfaction.
