Known for its significant presence in the hospitality industry, Sonesta offers an extraordinary range of hotel experiences with a portfolio that includes full-service and focused hotels located in major cities. Their diverse collection comprises owned, managed, and franchised properties, totaling over 1,000 locations across eight countries. This broad footprint enables Sonesta to be present wherever their guests desire, creating a globally recognized brand driven by the human side of hospitality. The company emphasizes delivering service with genuine passion and loyalty, aiming to create meaningful connections through every guest interaction. Their commitment to quality, value, and superior hospitality is at the heart of everything they do, making them a vibrant and sought-after place to work and stay.

The role of the Bartender at Sonesta International Hotels is pivotal in upholding the company’s reputation for exceptional service and guest satisfaction. The Bartender is responsible for managing the bar area meticulously by setting up, servicing, and breaking down while maintaining the highest quality standards and consistency. This position demands a passion for mixology and the ability to craft specialty beverage items and creative cocktails that delight guests. Working closely with social venues, the Bartender must understand the brand’s service guidelines to ensure every guest receives a memorable experience. The role involves direct interaction with guests by presenting menus, answering questions, making personalized recommendations based on guest preferences, and executing orders through the MICROS POS system efficiently.

Additionally, the Bartender will be attentive to guest needs throughout their time at the bar, responding promptly to requests and ensuring all processes, from order taking to checkout and cash handling, are executed flawlessly. Cleanliness, organization, and adherence to sanitation standards are integral responsibilities to maintain the bar’s operation smoothly. Continuous learning and participation in training sessions form key components of the job to ensure alignment with Sonesta's quality standards and evolving brand expectations. The Bartender also supports the broader team by performing sidework, completing detailed paperwork, and following daily cleaning schedules.

Sonesta fosters a culture built on respect, integrity, and strong interpersonal relationships among colleagues. Bartenders are encouraged to embrace these values by contributing positively to the work environment, treating others with dignity, and consistently embodying the company’s mission to cherish every guest. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality, mixology, and guest service excellence to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced hotel environment. With a supportive work culture, comprehensive training, and a commitment to employee wellness, Sonesta International Hotels provides a platform for growth and success within the hospitality industry.
