Job Description
HVMG, known as Hospitality Ventures Management Group, is a leading hotel management company with a dedication to providing exceptional service and career growth opportunities within the hospitality industry. With a portfolio of hotels nationwide, HVMG is recognized for its commitment to excellence and a vibrant, supportive work culture described as the "Be Excellent culture." This company is passionate about nurturing talent and believes in helping associates control their career paths, offering numerous opportunities to develop from entry-level roles to senior management positions. The company emphasizes inclusivity and equal opportunity, ensuring a welcoming environment for all employees, governed by comprehensive policies that prohibit discrimination and promote fair treatment in all aspects of employment.
The position at hand is for a Bartender/Mixologist, a dynamic, part-time role paying between $12 and $14 per hour. This role involves crafting both classic and creative beverages in a lively hotel bar setting, perfect for those with a passion for mixology and hospitality. The Bartender will engage directly with guests, delivering top-notch customer service while managing the bar's inventory and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Reporting to the Beverage Manager or Bar Supervisor, this role combines creativity with responsibility, offering a vibrant atmosphere where social skills and a keen eye for detail are essential. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, relish interacting with guests, and are eager to grow within the hospitality field.
Employees in this role can expect a typical work schedule that includes Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is often required to meet the demands of the hospitality environment. Candidates who have hotel experience or hold mixology certifications will find their applications especially welcomed. The role not only offers hands-on experience in beverage crafting but also pathways into advanced positions such as Bar Manager, Sommelier, or Food and Beverage Manager, making it an ideal stepping stone for those passionate about long-term careers in hospitality.
Beyond the role itself, working at HVMG provides several attractive benefits, including career advancement opportunities across a nationwide portfolio, flexible schedules, access to a portion of earned wages before the payday through PayActive, paid time off and holidays, and comprehensive healthcare options including medical, dental, and vision plans. The company also offers a 401(k) plan with a guaranteed 4% match and no vesting period, alongside exclusive discounts on hotel stays and food and beverage options within their many properties. This combination of role fulfillment, company culture, and benefits makes the Bartender position at HVMG a compelling opportunity for hospitality professionals eager to excel and grow within a supportive and successful management company.
