The bar staff position at Pueblo of Sandia is an essential role dedicated to providing fast, friendly, and professional beverage and food service.   • must obtain Food Handlers certification upon hire
  • must obtain and maintain a New Mexico Alcohol Server's License prior to hire date

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provides exceptional service to guests by taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience
  • crafts and serves a wide range of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks
  • serves food items as required while preparing drinks with accurate portions and ingredients
  • sets up and breaks down the bar area during shifts ensuring cleanliness and product availability
  • checks and maintains bar equipment, reporting issues to supervisors
  • operates POS system accurately, handles cash and performs transaction reconciliations
  • adheres to alcohol service laws including age verification and responsible beverage practices
  • refuses service to intoxicated guests and manages difficult situations professionally
  • assists in training new team members
  • completes daily documentation including incident reports and temperature logs
  • ensures responsible alcohol service compliance and secure product storage
  • represents department positively through professional conduct and appearance
