Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton is a world-renowned luxury hospitality brand under the Marriott International portfolio, widely recognized for providing exceptional guest experiences and setting the standard for superior service in the hotel and resort industry. Marriott International itself is a leading global hospitality company operating more than 100 award-winning properties worldwide. Known for its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and opportunity, Marriott fosters an environment where associates from unique backgrounds are celebrated and empowered. The Ritz-Carlton Ladies and Gentlemen are the heart of this brand, delivering unparalleled luxury service and creating lasting memories for guests by adhering to the company’s Gold Standards. These standards emphasize graciousness, thoughtfulness, creativity, and compassion, which are integral to the company culture and success.

This full-time Bartender role at The Ritz-Carlton offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a prestigious luxury hospitality environment. As a Bartender, you would be responsible for preparing drink orders according to specified recipes using precise measuring systems, ensuring guests receive consistently high-quality beverages. Your duties would include opening and serving wine and champagne bottles, setting up and maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the bar area, tables, and other tools necessary for a smooth operation. You will prepare fresh garnishes, stock supplies such as ice, glassware, and paper products, and transport these items to the bar setup area to guarantee efficient service flow throughout the shift. Maintaining cleanliness by washing soiled glassware and removing used wares from the bar and tables promptly is a critical part of this role.

Additionally, anticipating and communicating replenishment needs to avoid service interruptions reflects the proactive mindset expected in this position. You will also be responsible for handling all payment methods, accurately counting the bank at the end of the shift, completing cashier reports, resolving any discrepancies, securely dropping off receipts, and safeguarding the bank. Ensuring the security of all liquor, wine, beer, and storage areas is essential to maintaining company assets and compliance with safety protocols.

Following company policies and safety procedures is mandatory, including reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management and completing requisite safety training and certifications. Appearance and professionalism are important, requiring a clean and professional uniform and maintaining confidentiality regarding proprietary information. Exceptional guest service is at the core of this role—you will welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, and extend genuine appreciation and thanks.

The role also demands strong communication skills, positive work relationships, teamwork, and a commitment to quality service standards. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds unassisted, maneuver through confined or elevated spaces, and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and stooping during the shift. While no supervisory experience is required, a minimum of one year of related work experience and a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

Joining The Ritz-Carlton means being part of a globally recognized luxury hospitality team dedicated to delivering excellence and upholding a legacy of refined guest experiences in a supportive and inclusive work environment. This role offers the chance to thrive professionally while contributing to a brand that embodies hospitality at its finest.
