Job Description

Hotel Zeppelin is a dynamic and vibrant hotel located in the heart of San Francisco, known for its bold celebration of the city's counterculture and rebellious spirit. As part of the Sage Hospitality Group, Hotel Zeppelin embraces a philosophy of genuine service, creativity, and community impact. The hotel caters to guests who seek an unforgettable and authentic experience, blending a cheeky hospitality style with a commitment to excellence. With a unique identity that honors rule-breakers and revolutionaries, Hotel Zeppelin is more than a place to stay — it’s a destination where innovation meets comfort, and every team member is empowered to contribute creatively and professionally.

The Bartender (Part-Time) position at Hotel Zeppelin is a seasonal role lasting 90 days, designed for those passionate about crafting exceptional beverages and delivering top-notch service. This role is stationed at PLS on Post, the hotel’s casual bar and dining venue, which emphasizes a laid-back atmosphere infused with the spirit of Peace, Love, and Soul. Here, you will find a perfect blend of casual comfort and lively energy, where guests come to relax, enjoy great food, and sip expertly mixed drinks. The Bartender role is essential in maintaining the upbeat, groovy vibe of PLS on Post, as well as adhering to company policies and safety standards.

In this position, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down the bar, mixing and serving drinks according to established recipes and company guidelines, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the bar area. You will serve as the point of contact for guests ordering drinks and bar food, efficiently processing transactions and maintaining accuracy in handling payments, including cash, credit, and room charges. In addition, the Bartender will manage inventory by maintaining par levels, completing liquor requisitions, and complying with state liquor laws and safety regulations.

Hotel Zeppelin values independent thinkers and creative spirits. This role is perfect for individuals who embrace their entrepreneurial mindset to challenge convention and deliver a unique guest experience. Beyond technical bartending skills, this position calls for a commitment to guest satisfaction, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members. The opportunity provides not only a platform to showcase bartending expertise but also an environment supportive of personal and professional growth.

This part-time bartending role requires previous bartending experience, formal training, and necessary certifications such as CA Responsible Beverage Service Registration and CA Food Handler’s Card. The hotel is committed to inclusivity and considers applicants with a variety of backgrounds fairly in accordance with local ordinances. Working at Hotel Zeppelin also means enjoying various employee benefits like paid sick time, participation in a 401(k) plan with employer matching, employee assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, and excellent discounts on hotels and restaurants. Additionally, there are referral bonus opportunities, rewarding employees who recommend qualified candidates.

Overall, joining Hotel Zeppelin as a part-time Bartender means becoming part of a community where hospitality meets creativity, and every guest interaction is an opportunity to enrich lives. You will thrive in an environment that encourages bold ideas, celebrates diversity, and supports your aspirations both professionally and personally. If you want to be a part of a hotel that is a true hub for innovators and rule-breakers in San Francisco, the Bartender position at Hotel Zeppelin is an exciting place to launch your next chapter.
