The Alpine Club & Schaffer's Camp, along with other esteemed venues such as Pool Deck Social Club, PJs at Gray's Crossing, Old Greenwood, and Gray's Crossing Golf Outlets, offers a diverse and vibrant hospitality environment dedicated to providing exceptional experiences to club members and guests. Known for its high standards and commitment to excellence, the establishment operates year-round with distinct summer and winter operations catering to a refined clientele who expect top-quality service and an inviting atmosphere. As a premier hospitality destination, the club emphasizes a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and customer satisfaction, striving to maintain its reputation as a leading social and recreational hub.
Serving as an integral part of the Food & Beverage team, the bartender plays a crucial role in maintaining this standard of excellence. This position involves more than just mixing and serving drinks; it requires a deep understanding of beverage preparation, inventory management, and customer service. The bartender acts as a key point of contact for members and guests, creating a warm and welcoming environment while ensuring that all interactions are handled with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. With responsibilities spanning from preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to approved recipes to monitoring compliance with alcohol service laws, the role demands both technical skill and interpersonal finesse.
The bartender’s work environment rotates across multiple venue locations depending on the season, reflecting the club's dynamic operational needs. This variety offers the opportunity to engage with different member groups and event types, from casual poolside gatherings to more formal golf outings. Such diversity requires flexibility and adaptability, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. The role also involves routine cleaning and stocking duties to ensure that all service areas remain orderly and fully prepared for each shift.
Successful candidates will be those who come equipped with a strong background in hospitality, a passion for delivering superior customer service, and the capacity to thrive in a team-focused setting. With a minimum of two years’ bartending experience in similar environments, they should possess a comprehensive knowledge of beverage recipes, proper drink mixing techniques, and alcohol service guidelines. The ability to communicate effectively in English and maintain a professional demeanor is essential, as is a commitment to ongoing safety and compliance training.
Overall, this bartender position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a renowned club's vibrant social scene, where excellent service is not just a goal but a daily practice. Employment is full-time with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the demands of the club's busy schedule.
