The Clubhouse Bartender position plays a vital role in maintaining the club's high standard of service. This full-time role requires the bartender to expertly plan, organize, and direct all bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during daily activities and special events. The bartender is responsible for assisting food servers by fulfilling their beverage orders during events and providing attentive service to guests who prefer the social setting of the bar. Given the nature of the position, candidates must comply with California state law by being at least 21 years old.

Compensation for this role ranges from $21.25 to $26.25 per hour, depending on relevant experience. Staff also benefit from features such as a 401K plan with a dollar-for-dollar match up to 4%, complimentary golf privileges, and flexible scheduling to support work-life balance. The role demands comprehensive knowledge of all draft and bottled beers, as well as an understanding of the wine offerings, including the ability to describe flavors and characteristics with proper palate terminology.

The bartender will diligently handle transactions, ringing all beverage and food items into the bar system, managing payments from guests, or ensuring that charges are correctly transferred to event bills. Additional responsibilities include performing side work such as setting up and breaking down bar stations, stocking glassware and supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring cleanliness and organization within the workspace.

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of two years bartending experience, preferably in banquet or event settings, and hold a valid Food Handler Card, with a Serve Safe Sanitation and Safety card considered a plus. Completion of Responsible Beverage Service certification within 60 days of hire is mandatory. Strong customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication abilities and a detail-oriented, organized approach. This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled bartender eager to contribute to a respected and vibrant club community while enjoying competitive pay and valuable benefits.
