Job Description
Grand Desert Resort is a well-known hospitality establishment situated in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Positioned centrally, it offers guests a remarkable experience characterized by excellent amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. As a part of Travel + Leisure Co., the world's leading vacation ownership and travel membership company, Grand Desert Resort benefits from the backing of a dynamic and expanding portfolio of resort and travel brands. Travel + Leisure Co. is devoted to delivering exceptional vacation experiences, fostering innovation in the hospitality sector, and nurturing a work environment that promotes growth, learning, and enjoyment.
This particular opening is for a part-time seasonal Bartender position, located within the food and beverage division of the resort. It is a non-gaming role that plays a crucial part in enhancing guest satisfaction through attentive beverage service. The position is seasonal, extending until October, with prospects for conversion to a permanent role after the busy season.
As a Bartender, you will be the face of hospitality for guests visiting the resort’s food and beverage outlets. Your primary responsibility will be to provide friendly and efficient service while preparing and serving a variety of drinks, including cocktails, wines, bottled and draught beers. The role requires prompt and polite responses to guest requests, thorough cleaning and stocking of bar areas, and adherence to inventory control measures to ensure smooth operation. In addition to beverage preparation, you will occasionally assist with food order preparation and be involved in ordering or requisitioning liquor and supplies.
Success in this role rests on maintaining the company’s high standards of quality and safety, following all protocols as dictated by company policy. The role demands a professional appearance and a positive demeanor, exemplifying a can-do attitude with a team-focused approach. Working as a Bartender at Grand Desert Resort provides the opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, engaging with diverse guests and ensuring each enjoys a memorable experience.
The compensation for this seasonal position is $12.50 per hour plus tips, making it a competitive opportunity for individuals seeking flexible employment within the hospitality sector. The resort cultivates an inclusive and supportive environment where associates are encouraged to grow their skills, work independently when required, and communicate effectively across teams.
Joining Grand Desert Resort means you become part of a global organization that values hospitality at its core. Travel + Leisure Co. supports its associates with a wide range of benefits, particularly for those working 30 or more hours per week. They offer comprehensive health and welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance, and life and accident coverage. Additional perks include a 401k plan with employer match, legal and identity theft plans, wellness programs, and an employee assistance program. While temporary and seasonal positions do not qualify for paid time off, there are options for paid volunteer time and other support services.
The resort fosters a culture where hospitality professionals can enjoy their work, celebrate milestones together, and contribute meaningfully to the guest experience. They are committed to equal employment opportunities and accommodate applicants who require assistance during the hiring process. Being a Bartender at Grand Desert Resort opens the door to building a rewarding career in Las Vegas’ dynamic hospitality scene, where every day offers the chance to put the world on vacation and create lasting memories for guests.
