The Playhouse is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Bartender to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a positive guest experience by managing the bar and concessions during performances. The Bartender will be responsible for serving snacks and beverages, and interacting with guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. The position requires working during performances, including evenings and weekends, with hours fluctuating based on the event and performance schedules. The ideal candidate will have prior hospitality industry experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service while adhering strictly to California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) laws and company policies. Responsibilities include managing bar setup, sales flow, and breakdown during intermissions, checking identification for legal compliance, handling cash transactions accurately, and maintaining an organized and clean bar area. This role demands a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to maintain composure and efficiency even during high-volume periods. The employee will also collaborate closely with the Front of House team to ensure seamless operations and an enjoyable experience for all patrons. The Playhouse offers compensation at a rate of $23.00 per hour plus tips, with working hours that can range from zero to 25 hours per week, depending on production and event schedules.
