The current opportunity is for a part-time Bartender position located at the Denver Art Museum, situated at 100 West 14th Avenue Parkway, Denver, CO 80204. This role is designed for individuals with previous food service experience who are enthusiastic, customer-oriented, and capable of maintaining high standards in beverage preparation and guest services. The part-time schedule runs Monday through Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with further details provided during the interview process. The pay rate for this role is $16.27 per hour. This position involves preparing and serving drinks in a courteous, timely, and professional manner while adhering to all relevant federal, state, and corporate liquor regulations.
The Bartender’s responsibilities include setting up and stocking the bar with all necessary products, maintaining garnishes and perishables, greeting guests warmly, checking identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions, and producing quality mixed beverages with careful portion control. The role also includes cash handling duties such as receiving payments, making change, recording sales accurately, and securing cash and beverage inventories. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the bar area and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards are integral to this role. Other tasks may be assigned to ensure smooth operation and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties
- Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- sets up assigned bars
- requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
- maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
- greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner
- takes and/or processes orders for drinks
- mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes
- practices prudent portion control
- checks guests at the bar for proper identification
- detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained
- demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws
- receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed
- locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops
- secures bank
- performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
- keeps work area clean and organized
- arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area
- washes and sterilizes stemware
- performs other duties as assigned
