Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
relevant experience in hotel or related hospitality field preferred
ability to stand for entire shift
ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
flexible to work long and varying hours
effective verbal and written communication skills
must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
comply with all hotel standards and regulations
attend all required meetings and trainings
demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills
maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
ability to listen to and clarify guest concerns appropriately
work effectively under pressure

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent preferred
experience in hotel or related field preferred
effective verbal and written communication skills
ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
friendly, courteous and attentive service demeanor
effective listening and problem-solving skills
ability to maintain confidentiality
ability to follow safety protocols and hotel policies
ability to cross-train in other hotel related areas

Job Duties

set up the bar according to hotel standards
prepare beverages and cocktails according to the hotel’s mixing and presentation standards
serve guests with all beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
maintain the service and cleanliness of the bar area throughout shifts
break down bar after completion of functions, storing liquor, supplies and equipment properly
follow all state liquor laws and hotel policies
respond to guests’ problems, complaints and accidents in a courteous and effective manner
