Job Description

C. Baldwin, inspired by the legacy of Charlotte Baldwin Allen, honors her as the pioneering "Mother of Houston." Charlotte Baldwin Allen was the wife of Augustus Chapman Allen, who, along with his brother John Kirby Allen, co-founded the city of Houston in 1836. This hotel celebrates her significant impact as a trailblazing 19th-century businesswoman, cattle rancher, philanthropist, and influential figure in Houston's early development. The establishment embraces a spirit that champions the groundbreaking achievements of women in Texas, creating a unique and historic ambiance throughout the property.

The hotel features 354 stunning guest rooms and offers 14,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, ideal for business and social events. Guests can enjoy dining at Rosalie, the signature restaurant, or visit the hidden speakeasy for a more intimate experience. Additionally, the hotel offers Good2GO, a convenient local grab-and-go concept that caters to guests on the move. Part of Sage Hospitality Group, C. Baldwin strives for excellence in every guest interaction, believing in enriching lives one experience at a time. Sage Hospitality values genuine service and authentic connections, fostering a supportive work environment for employees and creating memorable experiences for guests.

The bartender role at C. Baldwin is a dynamic position fundamental to delivering exceptional guest service. As part of the beverage team, the bartender is responsible for crafting a wide variety of cocktails with creativity, precision, and flair. This role not only requires expert mixology skills but also a passion for personalized guest interactions that enhance the overall hotel experience. Responsibilities include maintaining an impeccably clean and organized bar area that reflects the hotel's high standards and commitment to quality. The bartender will handle cash and payment transactions accurately and efficiently, collaborate with team members to develop new cocktail recipes and seasonal specials, and ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations.

Successful candidates will stay abreast of emerging trends in spirits and mixology techniques to continuously elevate the beverage offerings. Additional duties include managing liquor requisitions, maintaining inventory levels, performing sidework according to schedule, and assisting with guest inquiries about the cocktail menu. This is a full-service hotel setting, emphasizing teamwork, creativity, and professional growth opportunities. Candidates should be independent thinkers with an entrepreneurial mindset who are ready to innovate and deliver unforgettable guest experiences in a vibrant hospitality environment. Sage Hospitality encourages risk takers and creative spirits who value personal growth as much as professional achievement. Joining C. Baldwin means becoming part of a team dedicated to excellence, community impact, and hospitality leadership.
