The role of Bartender at Oak View Group is a crucial position within the hospitality team, focused on delivering exemplary beverage service at some of the world’s most prestigious entertainment venues. This is a seasonal, part-time position available from April 14th, 2026 to August 14th, 2026, and offers an hourly wage starting at $2.13 plus tips, reflecting the tipped nature of this position. The Bartender plays a vital role in ensuring that guests enjoy a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience by providing prompt, professional, and friendly service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Bartenders at OVG are expected to be knowledgeable about a wide range of beers, wines, and spirits and to use this knowledge to suggestively upsell products to guests, enhancing the overall revenue for the venue. They must strictly adhere to all state and federal laws regarding the serving of alcohol, including checking IDs to verify legal drinking age and managing customer interactions responsibly, including de-escalating any potential conflicts involving intoxicated guests. Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized bar area is essential, as well as adhering to company standards for hygiene and presentation.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Six months or more bartending experience
Knowledge of cash handling
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Strong communication skills
Ability to stand for long periods
Must be at least 21 years old
Must comply with state and federal alcohol service laws
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must maintain excellent attendance

Job Qualifications

Six months or more experience bartending
Accurate cash handling skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours
Bartending school preferred

Job Duties

Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks including state and federal regulations
Responsible for learning or having knowledge of various beer, wine varieties and spirits available and being able to suggestively upsell products to guests
Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
Check the guest's ID in accordance with state and federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchasing alcoholic beverages
Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
Contact a management member if unable to resolve issues beyond standard decision-making
Request additional products or restock products as needed
Handle cash accurately and maintain the issued bank at the bar
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation at all times
Set up and break down bar equipment and assist with cooler organization
