Job Description

Tin Lizzie Lounge is a distinctive and beloved bar located within a hotel in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood. It serves as a popular gathering spot for a diverse clientele including locals, travelers, and regulars who regard it as their home base. The lounge offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere where hospitality is deeply rooted in every interaction. Tin Lizzie Lounge prides itself on creating memorable, comfortable experiences that encourage guests to return time and time again. The establishment is known for its genuine warmth, strong guest connections, and a commitment to providing a unique and inviting environment that reflects the character of the neighborhood.

The role of Bartender at Tin Lizzie Lounge is much more than mixing drinks. It involves being a central part of the hospitality experience, supporting the floor, and often stepping into a barback capacity to ensure seamless service throughout the lounge. This position calls for a team member who can blend exceptional cocktail crafting skills with attentiveness to guest needs and operational flow. Working at Tin Lizzie means being part of a values-driven culture where guest interaction, quality service, and a strong sense of community are prioritized. The bartender is essential in setting the tone for the lounge, embodying the spirit of Tin Lizzie by being approachable, professional, and efficient.

This is a full-time hourly position offering competitive pay starting at $21.30 per hour. Employees enjoy access to a variety of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K plans, and HSA/FSA options with employer contributions. Additional perks include commuter and parking allowances, participation in tip pooling, and the opportunity to get paid daily to help manage personal finances more flexibly. Paid time off and holiday pay are also provided to support work-life balance. The company fosters a positive work culture highlighted by values-based initiatives such as #OMGLIFE, cultural inclusivity, and opportunities for employee engagement in committees and volunteer programs. There are also referral bonuses, discounted access to lodging, dining, spa, golf, retail, and travel, as well as ongoing professional development resources through online learning platforms.

Columbia Hospitality, the parent company, emphasizes creating exceptional experiences through a people-first approach. They seek extraordinary individuals who share their mission, bringing open hearts, inclusivity, and respect to the workplace. Bartenders at Tin Lizzie Lounge play a key role in maintaining a polished and inviting bar space that enhances the overall guest experience. Success in this position is measured by the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, recalibrate quickly based on guest and business needs, and uphold the highest standards of service and compliance with state food handling and alcohol regulations. While a current State Food Handler's License and MAST-12 certification are required, certification such as ServSafe is encouraged but not mandatory. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a supportive environment that values diverse perspectives and invests in employee development.
