The Bartender role at Oak View Group is an essential position responsible for delivering excellent beverage service at some of the premium venues managed or owned by the company. This seasonal position provides an hourly rate of $10.30 and is tip eligible, running from May 13, 2026, to September 13, 2026, with an application deadline of July 31, 2026. The ideal candidate will be personable, professional, and possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing event environment. Bartenders are critical to maintaining the overall guest experience, ensuring that all beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are served attentively and responsibly.
This role requires bartenders to have excellent customer service skills and to uphold strict compliance with state and federal regulations concerning alcohol service. Bartenders at OVG must have knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirit varieties, allowing them to promote suggestive upselling confidently. Key responsibilities include verifying IDs to ensure legal drinking age compliance, managing the bar’s cash bank, stocking and restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean, sanitary workstation. The bartender will also need to be vigilant about identifying and handling intoxicated guests respectfully and safely, including escalation to management or security when necessary.

Job Requirements
- minimum age as required by law to serve alcohol
- six months or more bartending experience
- ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and during events
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to stand and move for long periods
- reliable attendance
- basic cash handling skills

Job Duties
- demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
- follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks, including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol
- responsible for learning or having knowledge of various beer, wine varieties and spirits available and being able to learn to suggestively upsell products to guests
- pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
- check the guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages
- communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
- listen and respond to any customer requests or concerns
- bartenders are expected to de-escalate intoxicated guest situations
- if a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity, the bartender may contact management or security as required
- contact a management member if unable to resolve or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision-making
- request additional products or restock products as needed
- responsible for the issued bank at the bar
- maintains a clean and sanitary workstation at all times
- ensures that bar equipment is clean and well maintained
- other duties as assigned may include setting up and breaking down bar equipment as required and assisting with the organization of the cooler
