This role as a Bartender is an integral part of OVG’s commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality at their venues. The position is a seasonal, hourly role offering $11.41 per hour plus eligibility for tips. It is slated for a short duration from July 17, 2026, through July 19, 2026. The bartender will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where customer service excellence is paramount. They will be responsible for serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and beverage safety. Compliance with state and federal alcohol distribution regulations is critical, with bartenders tasked with verifying age requirements, serving correct portion sizes, and responsibly managing intoxicated guests. The role also includes upselling beverage options, maintaining clean and sanitary workstations, and assisting with inventory management including restocking and cash handling. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Six months or more bartending experience
- Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Accurate cash handling skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Ability to de-escalate intoxicated guests
- Maintain excellent attendance
- Availability to work scheduled events
Job Qualifications
- Six months or more experience bartending
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Bartending school preferred
- Accurate cash handling skills required
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours
Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
- Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks including state and federal regulations
- Responsible for learning or having knowledge of various beer, wine varieties and spirits available and being able to suggestively upsell products to guests
- Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
- Check the guest's ID in accordance with state and federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages
- Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
- Listen and respond to any customer requests or concerns
- De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
- Contact a management member if unable to resolve or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision-making
- Request additional products or restock products as needed
- Responsible for the issued bank at the bar
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation at all times
- Ensure that bar equipment is clean and well maintained
- Set up and break down bar equipment as required and assist with the organization of the cooler
