The Bartender role at OVG is a vital position responsible for delivering outstanding beverage service at live events, ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment. Job Requirements

  • Six months or more experience bartending
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Bartending school preferred
  • Accurate cash handling skills required
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
  • Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks including state and federal regulations
  • Responsible for learning or having knowledge of various beer, wine varieties and spirits available and being able to suggestively upsell products to guests
  • Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
  • Check the guest's ID in accordance with state and federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages
  • Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
  • Listen and respond to any customer requests or concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if required
  • Contact a management member if unable to resolve or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision-making
  • Request additional products or restock products as needed
  • Responsible for the issued bank at the bar
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation at all times and ensure that bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down bar equipment and organizing the cooler as required
  • Other duties as assigned
