Job Requirements
- Minimum two years bartending or full-service restaurant experience
- Valid RBS Alcohol Certificate
- Valid CA Food Handlers Certificate
- Able to stand for entire shift
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work weekends and flexible schedule
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of alcohol varieties and mixology
- Ability to handle fast-paced environment
- Team player mindset
Job Qualifications
- Two years or more experience in full-service restaurant or bartending with a craft/classic cocktail program
- Valid RBS Alcohol Certificate required by state law
- Valid California Food Handlers Certificate required by state law
- Take pride in personal appearance, reporting to work neat and clean
- Knowledge of various beers, wines and spirits
- Knowledge of mixing and garnishing alcoholic drinks
- Maintain excellent attendance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Ability to meet work schedule demands and work long hours if needed
- Ability to work in team-oriented environment
Job Duties
- Responsible for serving guests hard liquor/beer/wine in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in customer service, interacting with guests in a friendly and fast manner
- Bartenders should have extensive knowledge in all aspects of alcohol in order to sell and serve drinks professionally
- Acknowledge all guests, anticipate guests needs, and respond promptly
- Follow bar pre-shift notes and menus and provide service as described
- Enter and complete guest orders on point-of-sale system, accepting credit card payment
- Recognize and take action to cut off alcohol to visibly intoxicated guests
- Pour drinks responsibly according to company serving size standards
- Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with applicable laws and company policies
- Complete accurate opening and closing inventory of product
- Maintain cleanliness of bar and surrounding area
- Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards
- Check IDs to ensure guests are of legal drinking age, refusing service to underage or invalid ID holders
- Follow guidelines for serving alcoholic drinks in appropriate cup sizes
- Request additional or restock product as needed
- Have knowledge of various beers, wines and spirits
- Stand the entire shift while performing duties
