The Bartender will be responsible for the comprehensive service of all beverages, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring each guest receives impeccable service in line with company standards. This role goes beyond simply mixing drinks; it requires a deep understanding of various types of beer, wine varieties, and spirits along with the ability to upsell products suggestively to enhance guest experience. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable about state and federal regulations regarding alcohol service, including thorough ID verification and responsible pouring practices. Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and well-organized bar area is critical, as is managing cash transactions accurately for the bar’s issued bank.

The job demands strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and coworkers alike, ensuring a smooth operation during service hours. Bartenders are often the frontline in handling customer requests, responding to concerns, and de-escalating potentially difficult situations involving intoxicated guests by following company protocols. Coordination with management or security personnel may be necessary to resolve any confrontational incidents, demonstrating the importance of sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.

Additionally, this position involves operational duties such as setting up and breaking down bar equipment, managing stock and cooler organization, and adhering to the company’s standards for uniform and conduct.
