The Bartender position at Oak View Group offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of this dynamic environment. The bartender plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest service by preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with professionalism and efficiency. This role demands strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The position is hourly, paying $14.00 per hour, and is tip eligible, providing the potential for additional earnings. Part-time employees in this role also benefit from participation in the companys 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, offering a valuable pathway to financial security. Bartenders are expected to maintain excellent attendance, work various events as scheduled, and uphold the companys standards of excellence related to guest interaction, uniform appearance, and service quality. Responsibilities include following bar pre-shift notes and menus, responsibly serving alcoholic beverages in compliance with federal and state laws, and demonstrating knowledge of a range of beer, wine, and spirit varieties to suggestively upsell products. Employees must handle cash accurately, maintain a clean and sanitary work station, and assist with bar equipment setup and breakdown as needed. The bartender also acts as a frontline ambassador for safety by verifying age requirements for alcohol purchases and managing intoxicated guests with professionalism and appropriate escalation to management or security if necessary. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and long hours, reflecting the nature of the live entertainment industry.   • Bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide beverage service
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Learn about various beer, wine, and spirit varieties and suggestively upsell products to guests
  • Pour drinks responsibly following company standards for serving size
  • Check guest IDs to verify minimum age requirements for alcohol purchase
  • Communicate cut-off to guests as required
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
  • Request additional or restock product as needed
  • Handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and keep bar equipment clean and well maintained
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and cooler organization
