As a Bartender, the primary responsibility is to serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently while providing an enjoyable guest experience. The individual must be adept at working under pressure and adaptable to the ever-changing dynamics of the hospitality industry. They are expected to follow strict compliance with state and federal regulations related to alcohol service, ensuring responsible beverage dispensing. Knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirit varieties is essential to offer informed recommendations and upsell effectively. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills to handle guest interactions diplomatically, including managing situations involving intoxicated customers with de-escalation techniques or escalation to management or security when necessary. Cash handling accuracy is critical as bartenders manage their own cash bank at their station. Additionally, bartenders may be tasked with auxiliary duties such as setting up and breaking down bar equipment and organizing inventory coolers. Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, co-worker interaction, and uniform standards
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide described service
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following state and federal regulations
  • Learn and know beer, wine, and spirit varieties to suggestively upsell products
  • Pour drinks responsibly according to company serving size standards
  • Check guest identification to verify age for alcohol purchase
  • Communicate cut-off to guests as required
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if needed
  • Request additional products or restock as required
  • Handle cash accurately and maintain assigned cash bank
  • Maintain clean and sanitary workstation and bar equipment
  • Perform other duties such as bar setup, breakdown, and cooler organization as assigned
