The Bartender role at Oak View Group is a vital position responsible for the preparation and service of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages within its venues. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • six months or more bartending experience
  • ability to handle cash with accuracy
  • knowledge of state and federal laws related to alcohol service
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • capability to manage intoxicated guests professionally
  • strong teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • meet the company standard for excellent guest service interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • follow bar pre-shift notes and menus providing service as described
  • serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • learn and suggestively upsell various beer wine and spirits
  • pour drinks responsibly according to company standards
  • verify guest IDs to ensure legal drinking age
  • communicate a cut-off to guests as needed
  • respond to customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and involve management or security when required
  • contact management when decisions exceed standard authority
  • request and restock bar products as needed
  • handle cash accurately and maintain issued bank
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work station and bar equipment
  • set up and break down bar equipment and assist with cooler organization
