The Bartender role at Oak View Group is an integral part of the hospitality team, responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service in fast-paced, dynamic environments at major live event venues. This position requires a personable and professional demeanor to interact with guests while efficiently managing beverage preparation and service. The Bartender must adhere strictly to all state and federal regulations regarding alcoholic beverage service, ensuring responsible pouring, age verification, and cut-off implementation to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for patrons.
Compensation for this role starts at an hourly rate of $17.00, and the position is eligible for gratuities, enhancing overall earning potential. The role offers a part-time employment arrangement, providing flexibility while offering important benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan and matching contributions to support long-term financial wellness. In this capacity, the Bartender will master knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits varieties to provide suggestive upselling that enhances the guest experience and increases sales. Bartenders are expected to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at their workstation, ensure the proper maintenance of bar equipment, and responsibly manage the cash bank. Additionally, this role includes duties such as setting up and breaking down bar equipment and contributing to inventory organization.

Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
- Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks, including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol
- Responsible for learning or having knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits available and being able to learn to suggestively upsell products to guests
- Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
- Check the guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages
- Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
- Listening and responding to any customer requests or concerns
- Bartenders are expected to de-escalate intoxicated guest situations
- If a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity, the bartender may contact management or security as required
- Contact a management member if unable to resolve or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision-making
- Request additional products or restock products as needed
- Responsible for the issued bank at the bar
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation at all times
- Ensures that bar equipment is clean and well maintained
- Other duties as assigned may include setting up and breaking down bar equipment as required and assisting with the organization of the cooler
