We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Bartenders to join our team at multiple locations within the Benchmark International Arena. This part-time role offers an hourly wage of $11.98 and is tip-eligible, making it both financially rewarding and a fantastic opportunity to engage in the dynamic environment of live events. The primary focus of the Bartender position is to deliver exceptional beverage service with professionalism and warmth, contributing meaningfully to the overall fan experience during events. Bartenders at OVG are expected to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar while serving a wide range of alcoholic beverages efficiently and responsibly. The role requires a combination of product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric setting. Job Requirements
- Six months or more of bartending experience
- ability to work nights, weekends, and long hours
- valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required
- capable of lifting heavy objects
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication skills
- ability to handle confrontational guests responsibly
- ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- must be self-directed and a team player
Job Qualifications
- Bartending school preferred
- six months or more of experience bartending
- ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required
- ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours
- frequently required to lift heavy objects
- previous experience operating POS systems is a plus
- must be able to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Job Duties
- Demonstrate the ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
- follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal alcohol regulations
- learn and have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
- pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
- check guests' IDs to verify the minimum age requirement for purchasing alcoholic beverages
- communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
- listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
- de-escalate intoxicated guest situations
- contact management or security if needed for confrontational or belligerent guests
- request additional or restock products as required
- maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
- communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests
- perform other duties as directed by supervisors and managers
