Job Duties
- prepares and serves beverages to guests in bar area in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
- adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- sets up assigned bars and stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
- maintains stock and prepares fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
- greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- takes and processes orders for drinks while practicing prudent portion control
- checks guests for proper identification
- detects and acts upon guest inebriation
- receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies charges and records transactions
- locks up beverage products, food, equipment, and cash drops securely
- performs general cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards
- arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive bar display
- washes and sterilizes stemware
