The Bartender role at Thunder Valley Casino Resort plays a crucial part in enhancing the guest experience by delivering exceptional beverage service aligned with the resort's "ELITE" service mission. This position involves taking guest drink orders, preparing beverages according to strict Thunder Valley standards, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and health regulations. A successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding communication skills and a proactive attitude throughout their shift to promote an enjoyable atmosphere. The Bartender is expected to not only craft high-quality drinks but also offer suggestions and upsells to enhance the guest experience while maintaining vigilance to ensure responsible alcohol service practices. Attention to detail is critical as the role requires stocking and maintaining beverage stations with fresh products and monitoring the proper operation of all bar equipment. This position demands that candidates adhere consistently to health and safety procedures, reflecting the resort's commitment to guest wellbeing and service excellence. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain the necessary UAIC Tribal Gaming License. Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift heavy items, and operate various bar equipment efficiently.

Job Duties

  • Practice support and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's ELITE company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times
  • Take drink orders and offer specials by describing the method of preparation and price for each
  • Make other drink recommendations up-selling when possible
  • Prepare drinks to proper Thunder Valley standards and specifications
  • Record transactions into the point-of-sale POS system following established Thunder Valley procedures
  • Ensure that all Guests are of legal drinking age and that they are not over-served following Company and Department procedures
  • Ensure that beverage stations are properly stocked and that products are fresh and rotated
