Job Requirements
- Be 21 years of age
- Have at least three years of experience in front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management
- Possess excellent basic math skills
- Be able to operate a cash register or POS system
- Be able to stand for up to 10 hours continuously
- Be physically able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language or languages of the restaurant's trading area
- Be able to work effectively in a fast paced and high stress environment
- Demonstrate a team oriented approach to work
Job Qualifications
- Be 21 years of age
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language or languages of the restaurant's trading area
- Have knowledge of service and food and beverage generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions
- Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 10 hours
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment while still delivering on promises to guests ensuring a team focused environment
Job Duties
- Take beverage orders from guests and servers
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes
- Learn the names and personally recognize regular customers
- Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system
- Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change if applicable
- Wash and sterilize glassware
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons
- Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- Clear and reset tables in bar area
- Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
- Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager
- Assist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
- Clean tables, doors, floors, floorboards, windows, vents, lights etc.
- Maintain clean and sanitary environment throughout entire restaurant
- Provide a genuinely hospitable experience
