The hotel features 144 guest rooms, each designed to provide comfort and sophistication for both business and leisure travelers. Alongside exceptional accommodations, Hotel Kansas City hosts several notable venues: The Town Company, a Farm-to-Table restaurant focused on fresh and locally sourced ingredients; Nighthawk, a vibrant live music venue and cocktail bar that draws the community and visitors alike; The Lobby Market, which serves breakfast and coffee in a casual café setting; and The Classic, a welcoming lobby lounge and bar designed for social interactions and spontaneous gatherings.

The hotel's event spaces are equally impressive, offering 20,000 square feet of meeting and event areas that include historic ballrooms steeped in elegance and a 3,000 square foot rooftop event patio with stunning views of the city skyline. This blend of historic significance and modern sophistication makes Hotel Kansas City an ideal destination for memorable events, innovative dining, and lively nightlife.

The Bartender position at Hotel Kansas City is a key role within the food and beverage team, specifically servicing the live entertainment bar, Nighthawk. The role requires a professional who can deliver exceptional guest service by taking and preparing food and beverage orders in a friendly, courteous, and efficient manner. This position demands not only technical skills in beverage preparation but also a warm and approachable demeanor that enhances the guest experience. Bartenders are responsible for greeting guests, mixing and garnishing drinks according to company standards, handling cash and credit transactions accurately, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring all equipment is in good working order. The bartender also supports operational efficiency by performing assigned side work and general cleaning tasks, contributing to an overall tidy and inviting environment.

This position requires working primarily during Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening shifts, accommodating the peak times of bar activity fueled by live performances. The ideal candidate possesses at least two years of experience in high-volume bartending, demonstrating solid knowledge of cocktails and beverage service. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as the role involves some manual handling of supplies and equipment.

Hotel Kansas City values its employees by offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes free room nights, discounted and friends and family room rates, medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, a 401K plan with company match, generous paid time off, paid family bonding time and adoption assistance, an employee stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement, as well as discounts at major retailers and discounted parking. The company promotes an inclusive hiring environment, ensuring all qualified candidates receive equal consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and beverage service to join a historic and dynamic establishment with a commitment to excellence in guest experience and employee satisfaction.
