We are excited to announce the upcoming opening of a new street-level Coffee Shop and Bar managed by Magnolia Hotel Houston. This vibrant establishment aims to provide a unique and enjoyable experience for hotel guests and local visitors alike. The new venue will boast a curated selection of both classic and innovative alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, complemented by an inviting atmosphere that encourages social interaction and relaxation.

Currently, we are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is essential in delivering an extraordinary guest experience by embracing service with a story and crafting memorable drinks that reflect both traditional favorites and creative innovations. The ideal candidate will share their passion and knowledge about our menu offerings, fostering a fun and positive environment for all guests. They will be responsible for taking and processing food orders at the bar, ensuring accuracy and efficient service, which is vital in maintaining the high standards of hospitality that Magnolia Hotel Houston is known for.

The Bartender will be a key advocate of our menu, engaging guests with personalized recommendations and sharing insights about available food, beverages, and hotel amenities to enhance their overall experience. This role demands flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry. The candidate must be friendly, energetic, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with the bar team and restaurant servers.

This position requires relevant certifications, including County Specific Food Handlers Certification and State-specific alcohol certification or TIPs certification. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and bring a positive energy that facilitates a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests. Job Requirements

  • Must have two years of customer service experience
  • Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and food service
  • Flexible schedule with availability for varied shifts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly and energetic personality
  • County Specific Food Handlers Certification required
  • State specific alcohol or TIPs certification required
  • Must be 18 years or older
