Job Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area
  • must stand or walk for the majority of a shift
  • able to work a variety of shifts including weekends
  • able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • able to reach overhead, bend, stoop and wipe
  • follow all uniform and appearance guidelines
  • no smoking during shifts
  • arrive on time and ready to work
  • pass drug and alcohol test within 90 days of hire
  • no violence or discriminatory behavior allowed
  • may not work under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs

Job Qualifications

  • Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
  • at least 1 year of bartending experience, preferably in high volume or fast casual dining
  • knowledge of beer, wine and spirits including preparation and presentation
  • ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly and outgoing manner
  • ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • cash handling and customer service experience preferred
  • stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Greet customers and take food and/or beverage order
  • provide information about products and discuss featured items
  • follow recipes and product directions for mixing beverages
  • collect payments and operate cash registers following cash handling policies
  • secure all monies at the end of each shift
  • follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication
  • deal with intoxicated guests professionally
  • ensure a clean, sanitized and well stocked bar
  • adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies
