The role pays $20.10 per hour plus tips and offers full-time hours with generous benefits such as 100% monthly premium contributions by SSP to the Health and Welfare plan, participation in the San Mateo Hotel Employee and Restaurant Employees Pension Fund, paid meal breaks, and vacation packages. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about the craft of cocktail mixing, knowledgeable about industry trends, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and professionalism.\n\nThe role includes greeting guests promptly and courteously, preparing and serving hand-crafted beverages using precise recipes and portion controls, handling point-of-sale transactions, and ensuring that all drink presentations meet high standards. Bartenders maintain the bar’s setup and stock, including the careful handling of fresh garnishes and perishables to uphold product quality. Compliance with all state, federal, and company liquor laws is essential, especially regarding service to minors and guests who may be intoxicated. In addition to beverage service, bartenders perform general cleaning and other assigned duties to maintain health standards. This role requires excellent multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Legal age to serve alcohol
- Compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Must be able to handle cash transactions accurately

- Experience crafting beverages and knowledge of alcoholic beverage industry trends
- Ability to work quickly with accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and cash handling
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Understanding of liquor laws and responsible service practices
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a timely courteous and friendly manner
- Use recipes and practice portion control to mix garnish and present drinks
- Input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
- Receive cash from guests make any change needed verify validity of charges record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar at all times
- Responsible for maintaining stock cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Must adhere to all state federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests at all times
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
- Other duties as assigned
