Job Description
36 Granada is a unique culinary destination located in downtown St. Augustine, combining the charm of two exceptional restaurants under one roof. It is home to The French Pantry, which offers top-rated French-Mediterranean cuisine, and Little Miss Ha, known for authentic homemade Vietnamese dishes. This dual-concept establishment serves a diverse local community and a vibrant visitor base, providing guests with unparalleled culinary experiences that cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences. Beyond dining, 36 Granada encompasses additional hospitality spaces including La Petite Kitchen, a chef-driven cooking class studio and private dining room, and Cache Cache, a stylish, secluded bar and event space designed for hosting various events and intimate gatherings. These complementary venues enhance the overall guest experience by offering unique social and educational opportunities in a warm, inviting environment.
The establishments aim to maintain a casual yet elevated atmosphere that borrows elements from fine dining and presents them in an approachable and convivial setting. Operating breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, 36 Granada creates a dynamic and engaging workplace where high standards of quality, consistency, and hospitality are paramount. The dual restaurant-bar concept offers both menus at the bar, providing bartenders the chance to engage with a diverse and sophisticated clientele by delivering a distinctive food and beverage experience.
The bartender role at 36 Granada is a pivotal position within this vibrant hospitality scene. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional capable of thriving in a high-volume, full-service environment. They must excel at crafting cocktails with precision, adhering to established recipes to ensure uniformity, and possess extensive knowledge of both the bar and the restaurant menus. A key part of the role involves not only building classic and signature cocktails but also promoting the restaurant’s extensive wine offerings by selling bottles of wine and champagne to enhance the guest dining experience. Speed and efficiency are crucial; however, the bartender must balance speed with grace and poise, exhibiting bartending as an art form – a fluid dance that elevates the ambiance.
Additionally, a successful bartender at 36 Granada will shoulder responsibilities such as preparation work and possibly working with ingredients from scratch, although training in these aspects is provided. The establishment emphasizes teamwork and a deep understanding of menu items since the bar serves as a focal point of customer interaction and a space where guests expect exceptional service and product knowledge.
At 36 Granada, employment is on an hourly basis, with compensation set at $10.98 per hour. The venue prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This reflects the company’s commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work culture while providing opportunities for development and career growth within the hospitality industry.
Join the 36 Granada team to become part of a thriving culinary hub known for its innovative blend of French, Vietnamese, and contemporary hospitality concepts. As a bartender, you will be at the heart of delivering memorable guest experiences, contributing to the vibrant and elegant atmosphere, and showcasing your mixology talents in one of St. Augustine’s premier dining and event spaces.
