Job Description

Thompson Rivers Parks and Recreation District is dedicated to fostering a healthy, happy, and vibrant community by providing access to diverse health and fitness programs, recreational sports, active adult activities, and engaging community events. Serving the Johnstown-Milliken area, the district operates and maintains various facilities that invite community members, families, and neighbors to come together in a spirit of fun, wellness, and social connection. Recently adding the Mad Russian Golf Course and Event Center to its portfolio, the district is expanding its offerings to include a unique venue where residents can gather for celebrations, fundraisers, and a variety of community events that enhance social bonds and support local initiatives. This expansion exemplifies the district's mission of building a thriving community through people, parks, programs, and partnerships, while upholding core values such as embracing change, being community driven, building collaborative relationships, showing passion in all endeavors, and working collectively as a team on a shared mission.

The role of Bartender at the Mad Russian Golf Course is a part-time, seasonal position ideal for a professional who thrives in a dynamic, guest-focused environment. Reporting to the Events Manager, the bartender will be a vital part of creating memorable experiences for guests by providing excellent beverage service on weekends from mid-July through mid-September. With hourly wages ranging from $16.00 to $19.25 plus tips, this position offers flexibility in hours, which may include both daytime and evening shifts during nights and weekends. The ideal candidate will be experienced with a knack for speed and precision in preparing cocktails and drinks, maintaining an organized bar, and ensuring compliance with all applicable food and beverage regulations. Beyond technical skills, the successful bartender will bring a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality that reflects the district's commitment to community wellbeing. This role requires someone who can quickly memorize cocktail recipes, interact warmly with guests, and sustain a clean and efficient work environment to foster a seamless service experience. By joining the team, the bartender not only contributes to the enjoyable atmosphere of the Mad Russian Golf Course but also becomes part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to enriching the local community through collaboration and service excellence.
