The role of Bartender at The Mad Russian Golf Course is a part-time, seasonal position running from June to mid-September, requiring availability during weekends and varying hours including nights. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $19.25 plus tips, and involves direct interaction with community members and guests to provide an excellent beverage service experience. The ideal candidate will be a professional with prior bartending experience, skilled in preparing quality cocktails efficiently and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Key traits include strong organization, a positive demeanor, and adherence to all applicable food and beverage regulations. Responsibilities include preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, interacting with customers to take and serve orders, assessing preferences to recommend drinks, and ensuring compliance with legal drinking age verification. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • One year of experience as a bartender
  • Ability to work weekends including nights
  • Pass interview, reference check, and background checks
  • Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to comply with food and beverage regulations
  • Ability to operate POS systems
  • Availability from June to mid-September
  • Positive communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • One year of experience as a bartender
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • TIPS bartending certification preferred
  • Knowledge of wine, liquor, and beer offerings
  • Knowledge of mixing, garnishing, serving drinks and wine
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure
  • Strong POS system abilities

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcohol beverages with accuracy and speed
  • Interact with customers, take orders, and serve drinks
  • Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Memorize signature cocktail recipes and prepare with consistent and accurate methods
  • Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Supply end of week order sheet to the Events Manager
  • Stay focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
