We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our vibrant team. This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for our guests by expertly preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The Bartender will be responsible for assessing customer preferences, making personalized drink recommendations, and ensuring the bar area is well-stocked and maintained according to resort and health department standards. This full-time position offers a base pay starting at $16.90 per hour, plus tips, reflecting our dedication to rewarding excellent service.
The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of classic cocktails, wines, spirits, and beers, and must be adept at following precise recipes using jiggers for accurate measurement. Exceptional customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members alike. Additionally, the role requires proficiency in the MICROS system for processing orders, handling cash transactions accurately, and assisting supervisors with inventory management.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- must be TIPS certified or able to obtain certification within 30 days
- valid Food Handlers card
- able to stand or walk for extended periods
- excellent communication skills
- ability to follow strict pouring procedures
- experience with MICROS or similar POS systems preferred
- ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- adherence to resort grooming and uniform standards
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties
- Preparing all alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for guests
- assessing bar customer needs and preferences and making personalized recommendations
- stocking and maintaining bar area to resort and health department standards
- providing an exceptional and memorable guest experience
- serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests sitting at the bar
- setting up bar and bar area according to resort standards
- cutting fruit and preparing garnishes as set by resort standards for service
- keeping the bar area organized and clean
- knowing all specialty cocktail ingredients and garnishes
- participating in updated training for the bar and menu items
- following pouring procedures appropriately using a jigger
- notifying supervisors immediately of any product shortages or out-of-stock items
- having a working knowledge of draft beer systems and how to properly change a keg
- answering questions on menu selections and drinks to servers and guests
- communicating with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, recooking orders, and product availability
- recording all transactions in MICROS system accurately
- checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction
- maintaining cleanliness of work areas
- completing closing duties including restocking and turning off lights
- presenting accurate checks to guests and processing payments
- ensuring uniform and appearance are clean and professional
- welcoming and acknowledging all guests
- anticipating and addressing guests’ needs
- speaking clearly and professionally
