The role offered is that of a Bartender, a critical position responsible for providing exceptional customer service from the moment guests are seated until they leave the establishment. This position demands a high level of hospitality and friendly demeanor, along with comprehensive knowledge of food and beverages, particularly alcoholic drinks. The Bartender is key to maintaining an enjoyable and safe drinking environment by enforcing minimum age requirements and safe drinking guidelines. Responsibilities include preparing the bar setup, managing inventory, handling cash and credit sales with accuracy, assisting in bar equipment setup and breakdown, and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring superior communication skills, social interaction, and basic math for handling transactions.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years full service bartending experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of mixed drink recipes
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate and Alcohol Server Certification required
  • Good communication and social skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Ability to pour mixed drinks and draft beer
  • Must be 18 years or older to ring alcoholic sales
  • Ability to maintain a cheerful demeanor
  • Capable of physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years of full-service bartending experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of sophisticated mixed drink recipes and restaurant point of sales computer systems
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate and Alcohol Server Certification required prior to start date
  • Strong communication and social skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with customer service focus
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Ability to pour mixed drinks and draft beer
  • Must be 18 years or older to ring alcoholic sales
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Check patrons' identification to ensure compliance with minimum age requirements and safe drinking guidelines
  • Prepare bar setup as needed
  • Maintain accurate inventory of bar supplies including beer, liquor, wine, cups, mixers, and sodas
  • Handle credit card sales accurately
  • Close out checks once paid
  • Assist in setup and breakdown of bar equipment
  • Serve and sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Maintain a cheerful demeanor while on duty
  • Inventory all stand sheet items before and after events and initial bar paperwork
  • Calculate cash at the end of shift and return bank to cash room
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
