Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. With a strong emphasis on service and purpose, Aramark is dedicated to creating positive impacts for its employees, customers, communities, and the planet. The company fosters an inclusive and diverse work environment where every employee has equal opportunity to thrive and participate in all aspects of the business. Aramark aims to provide a career that develops talents, fuels passions, and empowers professional growth, making it an excellent place for individuals seeking new challenges, a sense of belonging, and a supportive workplace from which to reach their full potential.
The Bartender role at Aramark is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service throughout the guest experience, from the moment they sit down until they leave. This position requires the bartender to exhibit outstanding hospitality, friendliness, and comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings. Working under the guidelines of proper money handling, beverage pouring, and dispensing policies, the bartender is tasked with providing drinks at the service well and ensuring the bar area is both welcoming and efficient. Responsibilities include checking patrons' identifications to comply with legal age requirements for alcohol consumption and adherence to safe drinking guidelines. The bartender manages inventory accurately, counting all bar items such as beer, bottled liquor, wine, mixers, and general supplies to maintain proper stock levels.
Handling cash transactions with accuracy is essential, ensuring all checks are closed out once paid, and cash sales tallied correctly at shift end. The bartender also plays a crucial role in preparing the bar area for service, assisting with opening and closing duties, and ensuring clean-up and breakdown of bar equipment when necessary. Selling and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with a cheerful demeanor are vital components of the job, enhancing the overall customer experience. The role may require physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing, as well as the use of uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Aramark values flexibility and teamwork, recognizing that job duties may evolve to meet the needs of the business without formal notice. The company seeks bartenders who are not only skilled in mixology and customer service but who also possess strong communication and social skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. Certification such as TIPS (Training for Intervention ProceduresS) is mandatory, along with a minimum age of 18 to ring alcoholic sales on the register. Overall, this position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a reputable, service-driven organization focused on growth and excellence.
