  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • must hold a current Texas Server's Permit
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures
  • sufficient math ability to count and handle money
  • basic knowledge of bar operation
  • ability to follow directions
  • pleasant personality and neat appearance
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to carry and lift 25 lbs

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Sets up and services individual beverage locations
  • properly handles cash
  • enforces all liquor laws
  • verifies and accounts for all liquor inventory
  • maintains proper sanitation of work area
  • follows proper safety practices in the work area
  • provides pleasant and efficient service to customers
  • reports to F&B personnel in appropriate uniform for assigned location
  • prepares all beverage items for sale in the station
  • sells to customers charging amount indicated on ASM GLOBAL price list
  • receives and handles cash and/or tickets
  • accurately verifies all cash and liquor inventory with supervisor
  • verifies cash register is programmed properly according to ASM GLOBAL approved sales prices
  • follows bar procedures
  • follows all rules and regulations applicable to beverage operations and ASM GLOBAL Food and Beverage Division
  • requests identification for every guest purchasing alcohol
  • performs other related duties as assigned by Food Service Manager
  • manages bartending staff based on planning schedule
  • ensures event requirements are ready before the event
  • acts as liaison between wait staff and kitchen staff to ensure timely communications
  • observes event and manages operation being visible on the floor
  • ensures closing procedures are met post-event
  • enforces campus rules and policies
  • acts as manager on duty in absence of F&B Manager
  • incorporates safe work practices in job performance
  • maintains regular and reliable attendance
  • performs other duties as required
