Job Description
The Santa Ana Pueblo is a vibrant and culturally rich community known for its commitment to preserving its heritage and providing excellent services to its members and visitors. The Pueblo operates various enterprises, including gaming and hospitality services, that contribute to the local economy and community development. Among these is a high-paced bar outlet that serves a diverse clientele in a dynamic environment. The workplace is built on core values such as dignity, respect, professionalism, honesty, and teamwork, which guide the daily interactions and operations within the establishment. The emphasis is placed on creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and employees, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service that meets the cultural standards of the Pueblo.
The role offered is that of a Bar Server at the Santa Ana Pueblo. This position is critical in delivering professional, friendly, and outstanding service to each guest at the bar outlet. The Bar Server is responsible for greeting guests warmly, preparing drinks accurately and efficiently, handling beverage sale transactions through the cash register, and maintaining respectful control over customers’ alcohol consumption and conduct. The position demands a high level of multitasking ability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment. Employees are expected to uphold the core values of honesty, respect, and professionalism at all times. Moreover, they must be dependable, punctual, and willing to engage in various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
The role also involves operating some commercial equipment including POS systems and maintaining a well-stocked bar to ensure smooth operations. Given the nature of the work, physical stamina is necessary as the Bar Server frequently stands, walks, lifts, and maneuvers around the bar area. Additionally, adherence to regulatory standards, such as obtaining a New Mexico liquor server’s license and a Food Handlers card within 90 days of hire is mandatory. Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal members, reinforcing the community-oriented ethos of the Pueblo. The ability to use a smartphone proficiently for company applications and communications is also essential for daily operations.
Those who join Santa Ana Pueblo as Bar Servers will be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering excellent guest experiences while promoting a positive working environment. This full-time employment opportunity offers a chance to grow professionally in a culturally enriched setting where employees are valued and supported. The commitment to strong mental and physical fitness, teamwork, compliance with policies, and excellent customer service are all integral parts of this rewarding role.
