Job Requirements

  • Legal age to serve alcohol in the state of employment
  • Previous experience as a bartender or in a customer service role within the food and beverage industry
  • Basic knowledge of drink recipes and bar equipment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced bar or restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails and mixology techniques
  • Ability to multitask effectively during high-volume service times
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences
  • Greet and interact with customers, taking drink orders and providing recommendations when appropriate
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glassware and utensils
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age and comply with all local and state alcohol service laws
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
  • Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol consumption and intervene when necessary
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth service during busy periods and special events
