Job Requirements
- Legal age to serve alcohol in the state of employment
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a customer service role within the food and beverage industry
- Basic knowledge of drink recipes and bar equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol)
- Experience working in a fast-paced bar or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of craft cocktails and mixology techniques
- Ability to multitask effectively during high-volume service times
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences
- Greet and interact with customers, taking drink orders and providing recommendations when appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glassware and utensils
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and comply with all local and state alcohol service laws
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol consumption and intervene when necessary
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth service during busy periods and special events
