Job Description

SSP America is a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in various travel locations across the United States. The company is currently seeking experienced and confident Bartenders to join their team on a full-time basis at PDX. This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.30 plus tips, along with full benefits, set schedules, and additional perks such as a free monthly TriMet pass or free employee parking. The Bartender position is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with guests, have a passion for mixing hand-crafted beverages, and appreciate working in fast-paced environments. As a Bartender at SSP America, you will be the face of the establishment, responsible for delivering excellent customer service. Your daily duties will include greeting guests promptly and courteously, mixing and garnishing drinks according to precise recipes while practicing portion control, and managing sales transactions efficiently. Handling cash, making change, and ensuring proper execution of vouchers form part of your financial responsibilities. You will maintain a well-stocked and well-organized bar area, adhering strictly to all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations to ensure the responsible service of alcoholic beverages.

Maintaining cleanliness to uphold health standards is a key component of the role, as well as working collaboratively with supervisors and team members to provide an enjoyable dining experience. This position requires at least 1 year of bartending experience, indicating that candidates should be adept at working under pressure while sustaining a high level of professionalism and customer interaction skills.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner
  • Use recipes and practice portion control to mix, garnish, and present drinks
  • Input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
  • Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed
  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar at all times
  • Must adhere to all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests at all times
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
