Job Description

Hotel Lucile is an exciting new boutique hotel property set to open in late summer 2026 in the vibrant neighborhood of Silver Lake, Los Angeles. As the newest venture from Casetta, Hotel Lucile is housed in a beautifully preserved landmark 1931 church, offering a unique blend of historic charm and modern sophistication. This 25-room hotel combines original architectural features such as stained glass windows, soaring wood beams, and a historic choir loft with contemporary amenities including a restaurant, bar, rooftop, pool, and a dynamic calendar of art and community events. The hotel aims to provide guests with an immersive and memorable experience, connecting the past with the present through a thoughtful hospitality approach. Hotel Lucile is committed to cultivating an inclusive, creative, and welcoming environment for both its guests and team members, emphasizing community engagement and artistic expression.

The Bartender role at Hotel Lucile is a vital part of delivering the exceptional hospitality that defines this property. This position offers a full-time opportunity with a competitive wage of $18.42 per hour, along with a robust benefits package including 401k with company match, health, dental, and vision insurance, holiday pay, paid vacation, and professional advancement opportunities emphasizing company growth and leadership development. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in strict adherence to Sous Sous recipes and service standards while ensuring compliance with all responsible beverage service laws. Your role will extend beyond just drink preparation; you will create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that enhances the guest experience, support dining room service, maintain a clean and organized bar, and contribute to the smooth operation of the beverage program.

In this dynamic hospitality setting, the Bartender is not only expected to serve drinks but also to be a knowledgeable guide for guests, recommending cocktails, wines, beers, and menu items with confidence and poise. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as you engage with guests, resolve any service issues, and foster meaningful relationships with regular patrons while maintaining professional boundaries. Operational responsibilities include managing inventory levels, supporting opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and safeguarding company assets. Compliance with California alcohol laws, food safety, sanitation protocols, and cash handling procedures are critical components of the role.

Working at Hotel Lucile provides an opportunity to be part of a unique and inspirational hospitality team during an exciting pre-opening phase. As the hotel is currently building its opening team, this role offers a chance to contribute creatively to the culture and service standards that will define this property. The commitment to professional growth and leadership development makes it an excellent environment for individuals looking to advance their careers in the hospitality industry. Hotel Lucile values diversity and inclusivity and utilizes an Automated Decision System (ADS) in the hiring process, ensuring a fair assessment of applicants based on skill proficiency, task performance ability, and job fit. Candidates are invited to join a community-oriented workplace where passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction are paramount.
